FABRIC & INSULATION Lightweight highly windproof water repellent fabrics, exceptionally breathable and able to wick moisture away from source, ideal for mid layer insulated clothing. Paratex™ Light is made up of bundles of fine filament yarns. The gaps between the fibers cause moisture to wick across a larger surface area, allowing it to evaporate more readily. As the moisture is evaporating from within the fabric the user is not cooled. Tough, lightweight, highly windproof and water repellent. Heavy duty, closely constructed fabric. Paratex™ Micro is exceptionally hard wearing but still remains soft to the touch, ideal for outer casings jackets where durability is a prerequisite. Softie ® The brand name for the synthetic (Polyester) filling used for the utilization of superfine yarns bound with special resins to produce a luxurious down like feel. Created from staple yarns which mirror the compositions of natural insulations (as opposed to continuously extruded as in most synthetic fills) a variety of yarn processes are applied to give a more random effect, some are curled, some crimped and some are left as they are. The random nature of the process results in a product closely resembIing the structure and performance of natural insulators. Given all this technology Softie® is still easy to care for, washable and retains a lot of its thermal properties when wet.
